Community Garden
The Walden Elementary School Ecology Club sent CAC Community Garden soil samples to Cornell, Ithaca NY!  The results are posted in the Tool Shed and are also available online.   To view results of the soil test, click here..
Irrigation Policy

1) First rule of gardening--"Do no damage". Please be careful of other peoples' plants when dragging hoses to your plot.
2) When finished watering always turn off spigot on the black pipe.
3) Never leave a hose unattended.
4) Always recoil the hose near the spigot when finished.
5) Do not create hazards in the crosspaths.
6) Report any leaks or malfunctions to Richard @ 778-2736 or 568-7382.
7) Do not move the black water pipe.
Children enjoy pre-pot luck games!

Gary "the Fence" Leather  worthily took home the Top Volunteer Award and "Gardener with the most  Apparent Visits" was awarded to Edi McLean during our corn feast!

The Community Garden is a program of the Town of Montgomery’s Conservation Advisory Council (CAC). It is the intent of the CAC to have the garden managed by a Committee of volunteers who will maintain, edit, and enforce garden rules and regulations. Please volunteer for this committee.

Registration

A waiting list has been formed for Garden plots for the 2011 season. If you are new to the garden, registration forms must be notarized and submitted to the Town Clerk at Town Hall 110 Bracken Road, Montgomery NY. Notarized registration forms may also be submitted to Conservation Advisory Board Member Richard L. Phelps.
